The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has gifted a woman ₦10 million and other incentives for marrying his adopted autistic son, Aboy Chibuzor.

The development comes days after the cleric’s controversial public call for a wife for the young man sparked outrage online.

Chinyere had initially offered financial rewards to any woman willing to marry Aboy, a move widely criticised as transactional and insensitive.

Following the backlash, the pastor apologised, stating that his intention was driven by concern for the young man’s wellbeing, noting that Aboy is non-verbal and requires assistance with daily activities.

In an update shared via his Facebook page on Sunday, the cleric announced that Aboy had tied the knot with a woman he described as a “woman of God.”

“Aboy Chibuzor finally marries today, March 29, 2026. A single woman of God. ₦10 million wedding gift, free house, overseas vacation, and ₦20 million after 10 years if Aboy is still alive,” he wrote.

He further disclosed that members of the church also contributed financially to support the couple, with donations of ₦1 million and ₦200,000 recorded.

Chinyere expressed optimism about Aboy’s condition, claiming that improvements had already been observed.

“Miracle has already started as Aboy is now feeding himself without someone feeding him. I believe before six months God will heal him and he will begin to speak,” he added.

In a follow-up post, the cleric clarified that the bride is a single mother of three, contrary to earlier claims that she was a virgin.
