Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has denied reports that he was arrested in London.
The rumours, first circulated by a blogger, claimed that 2Baba had an altercation with his wife, Natasha, and that his absence from his UK tour on Thursday was due to detention over domestic violence.
2Baba, however, said he missed the show because of a medical emergency. He also thanked fans who had come out for the performance and promised to reschedule.
“First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organizers and everyone that came out, we will regroup and make something beautiful happen. And please, if you don’t know something, don’t spread rumours,” he said.
