Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has sparked serious reactions online after venting his frustration over Nigeria’s worsening fuel crisis — and boldly calling out fellow celebrities who continue to support the current government.

Taking to Instagram, the actor admitted he usually avoids politics, but said the situation has become too serious to ignore. In his words, staying silent right now is simply not an option.

“There’s nothing like sitting on the fence,” he said, urging Nigerians to start asking questions and demanding accountability.

Remi painted a raw picture of how bad things have gotten, revealing that petrol now costs as high as ₦1,300 per litre, forcing him to run generators constantly due to poor electricity supply.

But it didn’t stop there.

The actor opened up about how the crisis is affecting not just him, but the people around him — especially his staff, who are struggling to even afford transportation to work.

“All the things I’m working for… for what? It’s messing with my brain,” he lamented, showing just how deeply the situation is affecting him mentally and emotionally.

Then came the real heat.

Kunle Remi didn’t hold back as he questioned colleagues in the entertainment industry who continue to publicly support President Bola Tinubu’s administration, particularly those pushing the narrative that things are improving.

He challenged them to reflect on whether they are truly standing for the right reasons  or simply ignoring the reality Nigerians are facing daily.

His comments come amid growing national frustration over rising fuel prices, which experts warn are already putting serious pressure on households and businesses across the country.
