Angelina Jolie Steps into Ukraine’s War Zone Kherson Visit Highlights Civilian Struggle

 icon and long-time humanitarian Angelina Jolie visited Kherson, one of the most at-risk cities in southern Ukraine, where the front line looms across the Dnipro River.  

With her were local volunteers and medical professionals who are providing care under relentless threat of attack, often operating from fortified basements.  

Jolie used the visit to shine a light on the plight of civilians and warn that endurance must not be mistaken for victory: families still want safety and the chance to rebuild their lives.
