Arsenal are pushing to secure the signature of Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen after manager Mikel Arteta urged the club’s hierarchy to bring the 27-year-old Nigerian international to the Emirates Stadium.
According to reports from Foot Mercato, Arteta has designated Osimhen as his primary attacking priority during the current summer transfer window.Â
High valuation and long-term contract present negotiation hurdle
While the Gunners remain eager to complete the deal, finalizing negotiations with Galatasaray will prove challenging. The Turkish Super Lig champions have already turned down multiple hefty offers for their star forward and are determined to recoup at least the €75m fee paid to Napoli. Having completed a permanent move from Napoli in 2025, Osimhen remains under contract with Galatasaray through June 2029.
