…as Nwoko claims he spent ₦125m on Regina’s family

Popular comedian Basketmouth has criticised Senator Ned Nwoko and his actress wife, Regina Daniels, for bringing their marital problems to social media.

Speaking in a post on his page, the comedian said it was wrong for couples to share private issues online, warning that such posts could affect their children later in life.

“Couples having issues is not a new thing. I once had issues in my marriage, but we didn’t bring it online,” he said.

“All these things you people are posting online, people will use them against your kids in the future.”

His comment comes after Senator Nwoko released a long statement on social media accusing Regina’s brother and friends of frustrating her rehabilitation process.

The Delta North senator said Regina’s brother, Sammy West, and others brought drugs to her during treatment, against medical advice.

“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff, especially whenever I was not around,” Nwoko said.

“This is someone I sponsored through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma. I bought his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja, and even transferred ₦125 million to their mother, Rita Daniels, in the last two years.”

Nwoko also denied claims that he sent thugs to beat Regina, saying the viral video was filmed in front of his house by her sister and a friend.

Basketmouth’s statement has drawn praise from fans, who said he spoke with maturity and restraint, unlike others who have made the family drama worse online.
