Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Martins Iyeh, has become the first contestant to leave the reality show.
Martins’ eviction was announced during Sunday’s live eviction show by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu after viewers’ votes were counted for the nominated housemates.
The 30-year-old spent just two weeks in the Big Brother house before his journey on the reality show came to an end.
His exit leaves 24 contestants battling for the grand prize in the ongoing season themed “Everything Is For The Taking”, also known as “Show Ya Sef”.
The season features a record N160 million prize package, including N100 million cash and other rewards.
How BBNaija Martins evictions work
Big Brother Naija evictions are determined through a voting process where viewers decide which nominated housemates remain in the competition.
Housemates who receive fewer votes compared to others on the nomination list face the possibility of leaving the show during the live eviction programme.
The eviction process has remained one of the most anticipated parts of the reality show, as it gives fans the opportunity to influence the direction of the competition and determine which contestants continue their journey toward the grand prize.
