Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) honored the memories of three former housemates who have passed away during a solemn tribute on Monday. The current housemates gathered as images of the late stars, Francisca Owumi, Joseph Ada, and Rico Swavey were displayed on screen, followed by a minute of silence in their memory.
Francisca Owumi, the runner-up of BBNaija’s debut season in 2006, was celebrated for her vibrant personality, free spirit, and love for dance. She passed away in 2024 after battling an illness. Joseph Ada, also from the 2006 season, was remembered for his calm presence and strength before his passing in May 2023 due to health struggles. Rico Swavey (Patrick Fakoya), a standout from the 2018 “Double Wahala” season, was honored for his creativity and calm demeanor.
Tragically, he lost his life in a car accident in 2022.
The tribute highlighted BBNaija’s continued connection to its alumni, ensuring their legacies remain alive in the hearts of fans and the reality TV community.
