In response to recent online body-shaming sparked by a leaked gym photo, Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has launched the #BigBelleChallenge and she’s putting her money where her mouth is. She’s offering ₦1 million to the person with the biggest belly who participates.
Participants are asked to post photos of their bellies, tag Nkechi, and use the hashtag #bigbellechallenge. The top three entries will be reshared, with one grand prize winner crowned.
In her own entries, Nkechi emphasized the celebration of natural bodies, positioning the contest as a reclamation of confidence.
Reactions online have ranged from enthusiastic support I’m loving this challenge” to more cautious voices urging her not to dwell on negativity.
