Bimbo Ademoye celebrates as Timini’s film crosses ₦106M mark

Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye is beaming with pride as colleague and longtime collaborator Timini Egbuson celebrates a major box-office achievement  his latest film Love and New Notes has officially crossed the impressive ₦106 million mark during its opening weekend.


The romantic drama, which premiered in cinemas on February 13, 2026, quickly emerged as one of the strongest Nollywood launches of the year. Industry reports show the film earned over ₦106 million within its first few days, setting records including the biggest opening weekend for a Nollywood release in 2026 so far and the highest single-day gross for a film released this year.  


Excited by the success, Timini took to social media to thank fans for their massive support, describing the achievement as a blessing and urging audiences to continue spreading the word about the movie. The project marks another career milestone for the actor, who has increasingly built a reputation as one of Nollywood’s most bankable stars at the cinema.  


Bimbo Ademoye, who has previously shared onscreen chemistry with Timini and worked alongside him in popular romantic titles, reportedly celebrated the milestone with pride, reflecting the strong bond and professional respect between the two actors. The film itself, directed by Kayode Kasum, blends romance, ambition, and nostalgia, set against the backdrop of Nigeria’s 1984 economic transition.  


The ₦106 million opening further strengthens Timini’s growing box-office profile after the success of his earlier hit Reel Love, which also enjoyed impressive cinema numbers during its run.  


With strong early momentum, industry watchers are now looking to see whether Love and New Notes will maintain its pace and join the list of Nollywood’s biggest commercial successes of recent years.
