Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared in court on Friday for the start of his sentencing hearing, with his family by his side.
The 55-year-old music star, looking older and more subdued than in his public life, wore a button-down shirt, sweater, slacks, and lace-free shoes, as permitted by the judge. His once dark hair now showed grey as he prepared to hear his punishment.
His daughters Chance, D’Lila, and Jessie were seen arriving with serious expressions, alongside their grandmother Janice Combs, who has regularly attended the trial.
The sentencing hearing is expected to last long, with both legal teams making their case. At least four of Combs’ lawyers will speak, and the star himself is also expected to address the court. A woman known by the pseudonym “Mia,” who testified during the trial, will also give a statement.
Dozens of letters from family and friends asking for a lighter sentence have already been submitted to the judge.
