Nigerian Grammy-award winning artist Burna Boy has escalated his ongoing dispute with fellow musician Wizkid, challenging him to a physical fight in a now-viral video.
The challenge follows a recent altercation involving Burna Boy and his official DJ, DJ Tunez, who was reportedly assaulted at a Lagos club on Monday night after failing to play Burna Boy’s songs.
Speaking in Pidgin English, Burna Boy said:
“Wizkid come go dey tweet. Na internet their own power dey. We na real life our own power dey. I thought DJ Tunez go call his oga, and his oga go do something or send people but na tweet Wizkid con dey tweet.”
Burna Boy’s statement comes shortly after Wizkid publicly criticised him and his team over the incident, sparking a social media frenzy with fans and industry watchers weighing in.
The dispute has continued to dominate conversations on X and other social platforms, highlighting the intense rivalry between two of Nigeria’s biggest music stars.
