Nigerian music star Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has revealed why he prefers living in Nigeria to staying in the United States.
Speaking during a livestream with PlaqueBoyMax, the Grammy winner said he feels safer and more comfortable in Nigeria, adding that the country gives him a stronger sense of freedom.
“The definition of freedom is in my country. I can never be fully free here. Guys end up in jail here in America,” Burna Boy said.
He explained that in the U.S., even successful people can easily get into trouble, while in Nigeria, he feels free to live and express himself without fear.
His comments have since sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing different opinions about life abroad and at home.
