In a candid interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Cardi B disclosed that she underwent a butt reduction surgery which left her confined to bed for months.
As she prepares to welcome a child with NFL star Stefon Diggs, the 32-year-old rapper addressed public pressure and criticism about her body. She explained that the procedure was performed partly to reduce biopolymers in her backside:
“They already did a butt surgery to reduce my a** … so you know … I practically did a tummy tuck on my a** … like the top … skin part … is like numb.”
Cardi B admitted she sometimes wishes her butt were smaller again, but noted she would not go through the reduction surgery again. She stated she tries to embrace her body, even amid criticism.
This adds to her history of being open about cosmetic procedures. She has previously talked about her breast implants and her removal of biopolymers earlier in life.
