Chelsea claimed a hard-fought 2–1 win over Liverpool in a thrilling Premier League match at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night.
Moisés Caicedo was the star of the night, scoring both goals for Chelsea — including a 95th-minute winner that sent the fans into celebration.
The midfielder put Chelsea ahead in the 14th minute with a fine strike from the edge of the box after a smart pass from Malo Gusto.
Liverpool fought back and equalised in the 63rd minute when Cody Gakpo finished neatly from Alexander Isak’s assist.
Just when it seemed the game would end in a draw, Caicedo found the net again in stoppage time to secure victory for Enzo Maresca’s side.
Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai received a yellow card for a late challenge on Marc Cucurella, while Chelsea’s injury list grew longer as Benoît Badiashile limped off, leaving the team without all six senior centre-backs.
The result keeps Chelsea unbeaten in their last three league games and gives them a big confidence boost after a tense night at the Bridge.
