Coach Lara Kudayisi dies two weeks after welcoming first child with Teddy Don-Momoh

Coach Lara Kudayisi, the wife of media personality Teddy Don-Momoh, has died barely two weeks after the couple welcomed their first child together.

Her family announced the sad development in a statement shared on her official Instagram page, saying she passed away peacefully after a brief illness.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh,” the statement read.

“After a brief illness, Coach Lara passed away peacefully.”

The family appealed for privacy as they mourned the loss, while asking for prayers for strength and comfort during the difficult period.

They added that details of her funeral arrangements would be announced at a later date.

Lara’s death comes shortly after she and Teddy Don-Momoh celebrated the arrival of their first child together, a moment that attracted messages of congratulations from family, friends and well-wishers.

The family expressed appreciation to everyone who had reached out with support and prayers since the announcement of her passing.

“We sincerely thank everyone for the love, support, prayers, and understanding extended to the family during this difficult time,” the statement added.

Teddy Don-Momoh, who is known for his work in the Nigerian entertainment industry, was previously married to gospel singer Kefee, who died in June 2014 after suffering from a lung-related illness.

The family said further information concerning the funeral arrangements and other matters would be communicated in due course.
