The actor and stand-up sensation—known for films like Blood Work and Rat Race—was apprehended Monday night (August 11, 2025) around 8:30 p.m. in a downtown parking structure, following a welfare check on him and a woman exiting a nearby restaurant .
According to police, the witness who flagged them down said both appeared “under the influence and not alert.” A search followed, and while Rodriguez was in the driver’s seat and the woman beside him, officers discovered alprazolam (Xanax) and heroin in the woman’s bag and also allegedly Xanax and suspected fentanyl in Rodriguez’s vehicle. He was booked on misdemeanor narcotics possession charges, but released early Tuesday morning with a citation. His court date is set for September 5 .
