The family crisis between actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has deepened after her sister-in-law alleged that a policeman—believed to have been sent by the senator—attempted to arrest her husband, Sweezy.

In a video posted on social media, she claimed the officer arrived at their home pretending to be a potential buyer interested in the property. According to her, he engaged Sweezy in a brief conversation before suddenly attempting to arrest him after asking for his name.

She further alleged that the same policeman later tried to arrest Regina Daniels’ elder sister, drawing the attention of neighbours and passersby, which led to a large crowd confronting the officer.

The woman said the policeman could not give any reason for the attempted arrest when questioned by onlookers.

This latest claim comes after previous accusations from Sweezy and their mother, Rita Daniels, who alleged that Senator Nwoko ordered Sweezy’s arrest and has been using his influence to intimidate the family.

As of the time of filing this report, Senator Ned Nwoko has not issued a public response to the fresh allegations.
