Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has officially joined the Honest Bunch podcast as a co-host, replacing Nedu, who left the show earlier this year.

Nedu stepped down in February following a wave of backlash tied to comments made during an episode of the show. The controversy started when comedian DeeOne accused internet personality VeryDarkMan (VDM) of being involved in same-sex relationships — a claim made on-air.

VDM responded strongly, accusing Nedu of being behind the allegations and leaking their private conversations. He also accused Nedu of inappropriate behavior.

Following the controversy, the producers of The Honest Bunch have now unveiled a fresh direction for the podcast. In a new Instagram post, they announced Daddy Freeze as the latest addition to the show, promising “hotter takes, deeper conversations, and unapologetic honesty.”

“The Honest Bunch podcast just got more unfiltered,” the post read. “Say hello to our latest addition @daddyfreeze.”

Reacting to the announcement, Daddy Freeze said on Instagram, “A new era has begun.”

He will now co-host the show alongside Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne.
