In a scathing recent interview, singer Mr Real (Okafor Uchenna Victor) accused his former boss D’banj of exploitation and broken promises. He claimed that after working with the “Koko Master” for two years, he walked away with just $500.
According to Mr Real:
- He served as an ambassador for D’banj’s CREAM brand but says he never got any real benefit from the role.
- At one point, D’banj supposedly offered him a car, but instead parked it and never handed it over despite knowing Mr Real didn’t own one.
- He denounced the arrangement as “wickedness” and selfishness, lamenting how little he received for his efforts.
This isn’t the first time Mr Real has publicly accused D’banj of owing him money. In 2023, he insisted that D’banj had reneged on financial promises and that he was denied his share of proceeds from their 2018 collaboration, Issa Banger.
