Country music star Dolly Parton has postponed her upcoming Las Vegas residency, saying she needs time to deal with ongoing health problems.

The 79-year-old singer was set to perform six shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in December 2025, but has pushed them back to September 2026.

In a message to fans on social media, Parton said she needed “a few procedures” and more time to rehearse.

“I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say,” she wrote. “And don’t worry about me quitting the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.”

Parton did not reveal the exact nature of her health concerns. However, earlier this month she pulled out of an event at Dollywood after being treated for a kidney stone and an infection.

She joked that her doctors told her it was time for her “100,000-mile check-up,” but added that her fans deserved the very best version of her on stage.

“You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” she said.

The shows would have marked her first return to the Las Vegas Strip since the 1990s, when she performed with Kenny Rogers.

Parton, one of the best-selling country artists in history, is known for classic hits including Jolene, 9 To 5, I Will Always Love You, and Coat of Many Colors.

Earlier this year, she lost her husband Carl, to whom she had been married for nearly 60 years. She later dedicated a song, If You Hadn’t Been There, to his memory.
