Hollywood star Eva Longoria has opened up about why she waited until age 43 to welcome her first child with husband José Bastón. In a candid interview with The Sunday Times, she explained she felt the timing was just right and that her life, “40 years of me,” had already been lived.
She shared that by then she had travelled, built her career, and fulfilled her personal ambitions. “You have so much more wisdom and patience when you become a mother in your 40s,” she said.
Longoria also admitted that now her family takes precedence. She believes that any professional project she says “yes” to must align with her priorities: “My family is my priority, so if I’m saying yes to something and it’s taking time away from them, it’s got to be something I’m really going to enjoy and people I really want to work with.”
In short: Eva Longoria’s decision to wait was as much about self-fulfilment and readiness as it was about timing.
