Gordon Ramsay has spent decades shouting across kitchens, judging chefs and building a global food empire.

But one small baby girl appears to have rattled him in a different way.

The celebrity chef has admitted he is “secretly petrified” of becoming a grandfather for the first time after his daughter, Holly Ramsay, announced her pregnancy.

Holly is expecting her first child with her husband, Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.

The couple confirmed last week that they are expecting a baby girl in December 2026.

Ramsay made the confession while speaking to Gary Lineker on The Rest Is Football on Netflix.

The chef joked that men could only do so much before a baby starts talking and communicating.

A nervous but excited grandad

Despite the nerves, Ramsay has made it clear that he is excited about the new addition to the family.

After Holly shared the pregnancy news on Instagram, he congratulated the couple and said he was sending them love.

He also joked that he would be a very overexcited grandfather, especially during Christmas.

Holly announced the pregnancy with a photo showing her baby bump.

She wrote: “Baby Ramsay-Peaty coming December 2026. We can’t wait to meet our baby girl.”

Her sister, Tilly Ramsay, also celebrated the news, calling it the “best news ever.”

Ramsay and his wife, Tana, have six children together: Megan, twins Jack and Holly, Tilly, Oscar and Jesse James.

The new baby will be their first grandchild.

Family joy amid old tensions

Holly and Peaty married on December 27, 2025, in a lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey before holding a reception at Kin House.

Their marriage came amid a reported family dispute involving Peaty and his estranged parents.

Reports previously claimed that Peaty’s mother, Caroline, and father, Mark, were not invited to the wedding because of a bitter fallout.

Peaty’s sister, Bethany, was said to be the only member of his family who attended the ceremony.

The swimmer has since been embraced by the Ramsay family and reportedly refers to Gordon and Tana as “dad” and “mum.”

Ramsay has previously spoken about the family rift, saying the situation was painful for his family.

He said they had treated Peaty’s relatives well, including sending a chauffeur-driven car for them to attend an engagement party.

The chef also defended his wedding speech after reports claimed Peaty’s mother was upset by comments made during the reception.

Ramsay later insisted that his speech was “perfect and warm,” adding that giving a daughter away in marriage was an emotional moment for any father.

Now, the family story has moved into a softer chapter.

Ramsay may be nervous, but the excitement is obvious.
