A Nigerian woman has accused a man identified as Bolanlde Azeez of defrauding her of N33 million after pretending to be Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, on TikTok.
The woman, Mrs. Victoria Yemisi Ayano, filed a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) through her lawyers, Olamide Oyetayo & Co.
According to the petition, the suspect, identified as Bolanle Azeez, contacted her in July 2024 while posing as Ninalowo. He allegedly lured her with promises of business deals and personal requests, convincing her to send money in batches.
By the time she discovered it was a scam, she had lost a total of โฆ33 million. The suspect reportedly cut off communication afterwards.
Her lawyers said they have WhatsApp chats and bank receipts to prove the fraud.
Meanwhile, the real Ninalowo has denied any involvement. He posted the petition online with a sarcastic comment, saying:
โFor wetin? Even Nollywood no dey pay me โฆ33m per film. Haa! Olopa ma ko everybody las las.โ
