Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has addressed the backlash he faced after reportedly asking a couple to leave his concert.
Speaking during a livestream on Instagram, the Grammy-winning artist said he does not force anyone to be his fan. He stressed that supporting him should be a choice, not an obligation.
“I force anybody to be my fan?” Burna Boy asked during the livestream, responding to criticism of his actions at the Denver show.
The singer also said he prefers fans who can support him financially, adding that he is not interested in “broke” fans.
His comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users criticizing him for being arrogant, while others defended his right to manage his shows as he sees fit.
