Terry G’s claim that he paved the way for Nigerian artistes to smoke cannabis onscreen has sparked controversy.
The singer asserted that his “sacrifice” gave artistes the confidence to do so, but many are disputing his claim, citing Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s long history of openly smoking and incorporating it into his music.
On his X handle, he wrote, “No hard feelings,it’s all love,but no forget say if no be my sacrifice,none of your fav go get liver to smoke Igbo for screen.”
