Nigerian singer Omah Stanley Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has opened up about how his personality affects his relationships and friendships in the music industry.

In a recent episode of the Nando Leaks podcast, the singer described himself as having a “weird” personality, admitting that it has limited his circle of friends. Despite this, he says he is comfortable with a small, close-knit group.

“I have a very weird personality. I just believe I am that guy, so I don’t have a lot of friends. I don’t talk to many people—just a few who truly try to enter my world and understand where I am going,” he said.

Omah Lay also noted that the Nigerian music scene, filled with ego-driven personalities, makes forming genuine friendships a challenge.

“The Nigerian music scene is full of egos. I am a chill guy, but I have too much ego. It’s hard to make friends like that,” he added.
