Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is reportedly in talks for another major performance gig, just months after his Coachella headline concerts broke records.
The 32-year-old singer is being considered for the first-ever FIFA World Cup Halftime Show at the 2026 final match, according to reports.
The final is scheduled to take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Bieber is said to be among the major stars being eyed for the historic performance, alongside Madonna, Shakira and K-pop group BTS, who were confirmed earlier in May.
If the deal is sealed, the show would mark another huge career moment for Bieber after his record-breaking return to the Coachella stage.
The proposed World Cup Halftime Show will also have a charitable purpose.
It is expected to benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to expand access to quality education and football for children around the world.
The fund is targeting $100m from activities linked to the final match.
Bieber’s representatives have not yet publicly confirmed the report.
The 2026 World Cup has already featured major performances from stars including Katy Perry and Tyla.
The tournament opened on June 11 with ceremonies across Mexico, Canada and the United States, with America hosting the competition for the first time in 32 years.
Bieber has been riding a major career high since headlining the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.
For two weekends, he performed songs from his latest album, *Swag*, as well as a medley of some of his biggest hits.
The singer released *Swag*, his surprise seventh studio album, in July 2025, before following it with a deluxe project, *Swag II*, in September.
His Coachella performance reportedly became the most-watched headline set in the festival’s history, drawing about 147 million global views.
He was also reported to have earned more than $10m from the festival, making him one of the highest-paid acts in Coachella history.
Reports said Bieber negotiated directly with Goldenvoice, the festival’s promoter, and avoided sharing a cut with an agent.
A source close to the singer previously described the move as a new era for Bieber, saying he was now fully in control of his career direction.
The possible World Cup performance comes days after Bieber made a surprise appearance in the sports world.
He appeared at the NHL Draft in Buffalo, New York, on June 26, where he helped the Toronto Maple Leafs announce their first overall selection.
“I’ve been a Leafs fan since I was just a little boy,” Bieber said while walking to the stage.
“These nights are so special. I’m so grateful to be here.”
He then announced top prospect Gavin McKenna as the team’s pick.
“Mr McKenna, we’d like to draft you to the Toronto Maple Leafs,” Bieber said.
Bieber’s wife, Hailey Bieber, was not seen at the event.
The singer and the Rhode skincare founder married in 2018 and are parents to their son, Jack Blues, who will turn two in August.
If Bieber accepts the World Cup offer, it would place him on one of the biggest global stages in entertainment and sport, following a Coachella run that already reminded fans of his power as a live performer.
