British internet personality and former The Only Way Is Essex star, Kate Ferdinand, has revealed that her family is safe after a frightening night in Dubai, where missiles and drones reportedly struck parts of the city during Iran’s counter-strike over the weekend.
Kate, who relocated to Dubai with her husband, former England defender Rio Ferdinand, and their children in August 2025, took to Instagram on Sunday to update fans after what she described as a “very scary night.”
According to the 34-year-old reality TV star, the family spent the night in the basement of their home as airstrikes rattled the city.
“Thank you for all of your messages and sorry for the silence, I haven’t wanted to worry you all. I just haven’t been able to find the words. We are safe,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
She praised the United Arab Emirates government for its swift response, assuring followers that despite her fears, she believes they are in safe hands.
“The government are doing an amazing job of keeping it that way, and despite my nerves, I feel we are in very safe hands. We are hoping for a calmer evening tonight; last night was very scary,” she added.
Kate disclosed that while the situation left her shaken, her young children — Cree and Shae — saw it differently.
“Although Cree and Shae loved it as they couldn’t believe we all got a sleepover in the basement.”
The mother of three also thanked fans for their prayers, describing the ordeal as “very eye-opening” and extending her thoughts to others affected by the attacks.
