Kim Kardashian has shared the first clips of her six-year-old son, Psalm West, making his acting debut in The Angry Birds Movie 3.
Psalm, the youngest child of Kardashian and rapper Kanye West, has landed a key voice role in the upcoming animated film, starring alongside Jason Sudeikis and Rachel Bloom.
Kardashian had previously shown his audition on her Hulu reality show, The Kardashians. But a wider audience got to see Psalm in action on Monday after the Angry Birds Instagram account posted footage of his recording session with director John Rice.
In the video, Kardashian beams as Psalm reads his lines into a studio microphone.
“Today was so special. He loved it,” she said, adding that many fans don’t yet know his personality. “He’s the smartest, silliest little boy. He has the cutest voice.”
Rice also praised the six-year-old as he guided him through the script. “Your voice is so cool. I love your voice,” he told him.
Kardashian later revealed that producers had approached her first about Psalm joining the cast. He will voice the child of the film’s lead characters, Red and Silver.
Psalm, who said Red is his favourite character, appeared excited about the role.
Fans on Instagram agreed, calling his voice “perfect,” “sweet,” and “made for animation.” Others praised Kardashian for sitting beside her son and supporting him through the session.
The Angry Birds Movie 3 is currently in production.
