Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend and R&B singer Ray J has reportedly been admitted to a hospital in Las Vegas after battling a severe case of pneumonia accompanied by heart pains.
According to a source cited by TMZ, the singer was rushed to the hospital after complaining of chest-related discomfort. Doctors were said to have ordered an echocardiogram and X-rays to assess his condition.
Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., is yet to receive the results of the medical tests, the report added.
This is not the first time the 44-year-old singer has been hospitalised for pneumonia. In October 2021, the “One Wish” crooner was admitted to a hospital in Miami with a similar illness.
At the time, Ray J disclosed that he was initially placed in the COVID-19 wing of the hospital, believing his symptoms were linked to the pandemic.
“I thought it was over,” he had told TMZ, adding that he turned to prayers during the health scare.
He was later moved out of the COVID ward after returning multiple negative test results and was discharged days later.
Sources close to the singer said his hectic schedule and constant travel may have contributed to the illness, noting that the experience made him realise the importance of prioritising his health.
The singer was said to have feared for his life during the episode and expressed gratitude after making a recovery.
