Actor Kunle Remi has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late filmmaker Kayode Peters on what would have been his 50th birthday.
In an Instagram post, Remi wrote:
“Happy heavenly 50th birthday King KP. Will always be grateful for the time spent together. Our love and prayers with your family. We dey here for Alexis and your babies. But Baba mii, I get plenty gist o… Lekki flood again.. I don shoot 2 films, I dey produce another… plenty gist about fatherhood… Anyways, keeping all the gist till we see later.”
Peters, who passed away after a prolonged illness in Toronto, Canada, was buried in August 2025.
The tribute has resonated with fans and colleagues, many of whom have joined in sending prayers and expressing admiration for Peters’ lasting impact on Nigerian film and theatre.
