Kylian Mbappe scored twice as Real Madrid kept up their perfect start to the La Liga season with a comfortable win over Oviedo.
Mbappe, who netted the winner against Osasuna last week, opened the scoring eight minutes before half-time with a strike from the edge of the box. He added his second late in the game with a calm side-foot finish.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was left on the bench after starting in the previous match, as coach Xabi Alonso chose Dani Carvajal at right-back. The England defender only came on for the final three minutes with Madrid already leading 2-0.
Vinicius Jr, who also started as a substitute, wrapped up the win in stoppage time with a sharp finish.
Teenager Franco Mastantuono, 18, was handed a start in attack and impressed with his energy and movement.
Oviedo almost pulled level in the 81st minute when Kwasi Sibo’s long-range strike hit the post, but Mbappe struck again soon after to seal the result.
The victory puts Real on six points from two games, level with rivals Barcelona and Villarreal.
