The former Suits star has joined the cast of Close Personal Friends, a new Amazon MGM Studios movie featuring a lineup of Hollywood stars including Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding.
Filming is currently taking place in Pasadena, Los Angeles. Meghan is said to be playing herself in a story about two couples — one famous, the other not — whose lives become unexpectedly connected.
According to The Sun UK, a source close to the production called Meghan’s comeback “a huge moment.”
“This is a massive step for Meghan and marks a return to something she truly enjoys,” the insider said. “She’s received many offers, but this project felt right. It’s her way of testing the waters and seeing how it feels to be back on set.”
The source also revealed that everyone involved in the project has been asked to keep Meghan’s role secret because of the high level of interest around her return.
Prince Harry is reportedly “thrilled” about the project and fully supports his wife’s decision.
“Prince Harry just wants Meghan to do what makes her happy,” the source added.
Meghan, who was born and raised in Los Angeles, began her acting career with small roles in Horrible Bosses and Remember Me. She later rose to fame as Rachel Zane in the hit TV show Suits, earning fans around the world.
In 2017, shortly before announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, Meghan said she was leaving acting to focus on royal duties.
Now, eight years later, her return marks a surprising full-circle moment — one that has reignited excitement across Hollywood.
