Chibi, who was left out of Morocco’s final World Cup squad by head coach Mohamed Ouahbi, took to Instagram to rub salt in the wounds of the departing West Africans. The defender posted a video clip from the match broadcast showing the final scoreline, accompanied by the provocative caption: “Go and cry now.” Mohamed Chibi said on Instagram.
The intense animosity between Chibi and the Senegalese squad stems from the highly contentious Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final played earlier in the year on January 18, 2026.
