The drama surrounding the late Nigerian singer Mohbad has taken yet another explosive turn and this time, it’s coming straight from his father.

Joseph Aloba has once again made it crystal clear: his son will not be buried until a DNA test is carried out to confirm the paternity of Mohbad’s child. And according to him, this isn’t just a family disagreement it’s something much bigger.

In a recent outburst, Mohbad’s father didn’t hold back as he alleged that certain individuals may be deliberately trying to block the truth from coming out. He claimed that the DNA centres previously suggested for the test were “fake” or not credible, raising serious concerns about possible manipulation of the process.

His stance? Unshakable.

“Without DNA, my son cannot be buried,” he insisted, calling on authorities to step in and ensure a transparent and legitimate process.

This isn’t the first time the DNA controversy has stalled Mohbad’s final burial. Since the singer’s shocking death in 2023, the unresolved question of his son’s paternity has remained at the center of a bitter dispute between his family and his widow.

Despite both sides claiming to be open to the test, disagreements over procedures, testing centres, and legal control have dragged the case on for months if not years.

Now, with accusations of fake labs and possible interference, the situation has escalated into what many are calling a full-blown scandal.

Adding fuel to the fire, Mohbad’s father has also dismissed rumours that he is seeking financial help, insisting he is financially stable and focused only on getting justice for his son.
