In what many are calling one of the Hollywood crossovers that hit hard, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have officially separated after nearly two decades of marriage.
According to Variety, the breakup was confirmed late Monday night. Sources say the pair had already been living apart since June, with Keith allegedly moving out of their Nashville home. While Kidman is reported to have made efforts to salvage the relationship, insiders claim the decision to part ways was ultimately mutual or perhaps inevitable.
The two share two daughters: Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (14). Their union began in 2006, after meeting in 2005 at the G’Day USA gala in Sydney.
It is said that Nicole “didn’t want this” and had been fighting to preserve their marriage, according to unnamed sources. The couple’s decision marks the end of a long chapter, especially considering Nicole’s past marriage to Tom Cruise (1990–2001), with whom she shares two children, Bella and Connor.
This break-up raises eyebrows given their high profile image it’s rare to see celebrity couples of this scale call it off after so many years.
