Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has announced the death of her mother.
She shared the sad news on Tuesday through her Instagram page, posting a candlelight image on a broken-heart background with the caption: “R.I.P Mum.”
Mercy did not disclose the date or circumstances of her mother’s passing.
The actress has often spoken about how much her mother meant to her, describing her as a woman who taught her sacrifice, selflessness, and guided her through life.
Following the announcement, colleagues, friends, and fans flooded her page with condolence messages.
Actress Iyabo Ojo wrote: “So sorry ore, may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
Dayo Amusa said: “My sincere condolences, Agbeke.”
Motilola also commented: “So sorry, Momma. Accept my condolences.”
