At a special ceremony, the guild launched “Junior Pope Nollywood City”, a sprawling community made up of 150 plots of land designed to immortalise the actor’s impact on the Nigerian film world. The project isn’t just symbolic it’s a real estate celebration of his life and work.

But that’s not all as a family honour, the guild also set aside one plot of land for each of Junior Pope’s three sons, giving his legacy a tangible future for his children.

Junior Pope tragically lost his life in April 2025 when a boat he was in capsized while filming in the Anam River  a loss that shook Nollywood and his fans across the country.

Speakers at the event described the new city as more than just land it’s a lasting home for creativity, opportunity, and remembrance that ensures Junior Pope’s spirit continues to inspire generations of actors and creatives.
