Acclaimed Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has leveled serious accusations against legendary music label Chocolate City, claiming the company is using suspicious police petitions in an ongoing attempt to disrupt his international music tours. Taking to the social media platform X on Tuesday, the Declan Rice crooner alleged that the Lagos-based record label has repeatedly tried to have him arrested, with the latest attempt orchestrated just as he prepares to kick off his highly anticipated European tour.
According to Odumodublvck, this is not the first time the entertainment company has weaponized law enforcement against him before a major career milestone. He claimed a similar tactic was deployed right before his previous tour in the United States.
“Chocolate City have been trying to arrest me for the longest time. They tried before my American tour, now they are trying with the European tour.”
Defiant artist raises safety concerns over irregular police summons
The online outburst escalated into a much more serious conversation when Odumodublvck described the physical nature of the police petition served to him. The rapper expressed deep alarm over significant irregularities in the official document, pointing out that the summons commanding him to report to a designated police station completely lacked any verifiable contact details or phone numbers.
Fearing for his personal safety, Odumodublvck publicly questioned the authenticity and the true intent behind the anonymized document, going as far as to suggest it could be a setup for a violent crime. Directly tagging the Nigerian Police Force on X, he voiced concerns that the irregular paperwork could be a front for a kidnapping attempt or an extrajudicial ambush. Furthermore, he heavily criticized the integrity of the specific police station involved, alleging that the same division had previously released an accused sexual predator after a monetary settlement was paid to the victim.
Despite the gravity of the allegations, the rapper closed his series of posts on a defiant note, assuring his global fan base that the alleged plot to derail his itinerary had utterly failed. He confirmed that he had already successfully left the country and was officially on the road for his international dates.
The tense public exchange marks the latest flashpoint in an ongoing feud between Odumodublvck and Chocolate City that has been steadily escalating since late 2025. The friction has been primarily fueled by the rapper’s highly publicized and fierce hip-hop rivalry with Chocolate City’s flagship artist, Blaqbonez.
