American rapper Offset has spoken openly about his regrets following the end of his six-year marriage to Cardi B.
The couple, who got married in 2017, had a rocky relationship filled with public breakups and reconciliations. They share three children — daughter Kulture, son Wave, and a newborn born shortly after Cardi filed for divorce in late 2024.
Their split came amid several allegations of cheating. Cardi accused Offset of being unfaithful with multiple women, while Offset also claimed she cheated on him — even during her pregnancy.
In a recent interview with actress Keke Palmer, Offset admitted he made several mistakes in the marriage.
“I was definitely not perfect in this situation. I made a lot of mistakes, a lot of things I did wrong, and she did too,” the 33-year-old said.
“If I could do anything differently, I would respect her a lot more. I made bad decisions as a man, like stepping out. I was being selfish, and I can say that I’ve grown now.”
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, said he now wants to move on and not let the divorce define their lives.
“It’s a hard thing to do. I feel like it shouldn’t be the story for both of us, that’s why I’m ready to move on from the divorce,” he said.
He also revealed that he decided to speak up because of what he described as “nasty and untrue” stories about him online.
“I wish there wasn’t so much happening online. I had to step out of line a few times because it felt like I was being bullied,” he said. “Recently, I tried to defend myself because some of the narratives out there are not true.”
