Nollywood‑music star Olamide recently opened up about the profound impact the late rapper DaGrin had on him and other artists. According to him, DaGrin’s landmark album, C.E.O, remains “a timeless project” and a source of inspiration whenever he experiences creative blocks.

Olamide emphasized that DaGrin’s music isn’t just influential—it’s iconic in the South‑West rap scene, adding that it remains “the only rap album almost everybody in the south‑west can sing word for word.”

Although DaGrin tragically passed away in April 2010, his contributions to indigenous rap continue to motivate the new generation of artists.
