By the time the screen fades to black, one thing is clear — love isn’t the only thing burning in Colours of Fire.

Niyi Akinmolayan, the filmmaker who gave us The Wedding Party 2 and The House of Secrets, is back to set December ablaze with a cocktail of desire, rivalry, and chaos. The teaser for his new film doesn’t whisper; it roars — promising a cinematic storm soaked in passion and power.

Front and center are Osas Ighodaro and Uzor Arukwe, their chemistry sizzling like friction waiting to spark. Around them, a constellation of Nollywood heavyweights — Mercy Aigbe, Gabriel Afolayan, Femi Branch, and Ibrahim Chatta — orbit a story that feels both intimate and epic.

Colours of Fire tells the tale of two rivals whose forbidden romance threatens to unravel an empire built on pride and prophecy. It’s a love story with consequences — a test of loyalty, faith, and the limits of destiny.

Akinmolayan calls it “a film that feels like home but looks like the world.” And true to that vision, the film bursts with energy — unapologetically Nigerian, drenched in emotion, and painted in every shade of drama the season can handle.
