Nigeria’s social media space is on fire as Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Josephina Otabor — better known as Phyna and Nollywood icon Kate Henshaw demand answers in a shocking hit-and-run case that has left Phyna’s younger sister battling for her life.
The horrifying accident happened in Auchi, Edo State, barely six days after the young woman’s graduation. Witnesses say a reckless Dangote truck driver mowed her down and sped off, only to be chased and caught by a quick-thinking lecturer who saw it all unfold.
Phyna alleges that instead of prioritising urgent medical help for her sister, the Nigerian police allowed the truck’s license plate to be removed, a move she claims reeks of a cover-up to protect the truck’s influential owner.
“Na money you get, you no be God. But my God is bigger. Enough is enough,” Phyna raged in an emotional Instagram post.
Kate Henshaw, equally furious, revealed that police in Auchi are blocking the family and concerned students from even seeing the impounded truck. “One leg amputated already… and the other may soon be gone. Whoever owns the truck should own up. Justice must be served,” she declared.
Now, as the victim lies in a critical condition with doctors fighting to save her remaining leg, Nigerians are calling out the police, demanding transparency, accountability, and swift punishment for those involved in what many are calling a brazen attempt to bury the truth.
