Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has raised concerns over what she described as an overwhelming influx of messages and phone calls from Nigerian men seeking to marry her, revealing that more than 5,000 suitors have flooded her direct messages.
Speaking in a video currently circulating on social media, the actress said she began receiving the messages after an unidentified video of hers went viral online. According to her, many of the men contacted her through the phone number linked to her Facebook account, a number she said she is unable to discard.
“I have over 5,000 men in my DM saying they want to marry me. I don’t know which video trended online. Please, I am single but I am not searching. Stop texting my number,” she said.
Blessing explained that the volume of calls and messages has become disruptive, prompting her to publicly appeal for restraint and respect for her privacy.
The actress confirmed that she is currently single but stressed that she is not in search of a relationship, adding that her personal life should no longer be a subject of public engagement.
Nkechi Blessing was married to Opeyemi Falegan in 2021, but the union ended publicly. In May 2025, she announced that she was single and would keep future relationships out of the public space following past controversies surrounding her private life.
