Nollywood actress, Peggy Ovire, has called out her estranged husband, Frederick Leonard, after accusing him of failing to appear in court to finalise their divorce.
The actress made the allegation in a post shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, where she also accused Leonard of having an affair with an alleged married woman.
Peggy shared a video of Frederick and the alleged lover, claiming that the actor asked for a divorce but failed to appear in court after being served.
Peggy Accuses Frederick Leonard Of Avoiding Court
In the post, Peggy alleged that Frederick refused to show up at the customary court despite being aware of the divorce proceedings.
She also warned him not to miss the next court date fixed for June 23.
“Please don’t avoid coming to customary court June 23rd for the second time. You said you wanted a divorce, yet you didn’t show up when you were served,” she wrote.
The actress said she was ready to present evidence in court and insisted that the divorce should be concluded.
Peggy Claims She Has Receipts
Peggy also accused Frederick and the alleged lover of trying to portray her allegations as false.
She claimed she had enough evidence to support her claims, adding that she would release them after the divorce is finalised.
“I’m coming with receipts and let’s make this divorce done and dusted. So both of you can finally be together,” she added.
Actress Calls Out Alleged Lover
Peggy further alleged that the woman involved is married with children, describing the situation as shameful.
“So-called traditional Igbo man with another Igbo man’s wife with four children,” she wrote.
She claimed Frederick had earlier gone to a blogger to accuse her of lying, but allegedly refused to appear in court after seeing details of her petition.
“You ran to a blogger that I was lying, but when you were served and saw details of my petition, you knew I had seen one out of many, yet refused to show up in court but sent your lawyer,” she added.
Frederick Leonard Yet To React
As of the time of filing this report, Frederick Leonard had not publicly responded to Peggy’s latest allegations.
Peggy and Frederick, who were once regarded as one of Nollywood’s admired celebrity couples, have continued to attract public attention since reports of trouble in their marriage emerged.
