Veteran entertainer Charly Boy (Charles Oputa) has shared a charming encounter with former LP presidential candidate Peter Obi one that took place in the early hours of the morning. According to Charly Boy’s post on X, Obi called him around 1 AM, saying he planned to stop by for a courtesy visit around 5 AM.
When Obi arrived, he came bearing what initially looked like an ordinary “Ghana-Must-Go” bag placed at the entrance to Charly Boy’s sitting room. Curious, Charly Boy wondered what could be inside.
They spent about two hours talking covering topics like politics, family, and the state of Nigeria. Before leaving, Obi handed over the bag and said, “Senior, I no fit give you money, but I fit give you this one; na my hand pick.”
Upon finally opening it, Charly Boy discovered it was filled with roasted groundnuts, lots of alligator pepper, kola nuts, pawpaw, oranges, agara, mangoes, bananas, and other goodies all items Obi personally selected.
Charly Boy, who is also a strong supporter of Peter Obi and active in the Obidient movement, expressed amusement and heartfelt gratitude saying the thoughtful gesture moved him deeply.
