British media personality Piers Morgan has stirred reactions online after tweeting in Igbo while responding to American rapper Nicki Minaj about her comments on the recent killings of Christians in Nigeria.

In a now-viral post, Morgan wrote: “Ọ dị m ezigbo mkpa! Anyị nwere ike ime ajụjụ ọnụ?”
(Translation: “It is very important to me! Can we do an interview?”)

His message was a quote reply to Minaj’s earlier tweet, where she mentioned Morgan while speaking about U.S. involvement and rising global concern over violence against Christian communities in Nigeria.

Minaj had tweeted: “And just like that, Piers has been given clearance to fly through Barb Airspace. The power of Nigeria. 🇳🇬 Naija Barbz, keep an eye on him…”

Morgan’s unexpected choice to tweet in Igbo, one of Nigeria’s major languages, sparked immediate reactions, with many Nigerians expressing surprise and amusement.

His post comes at a time when global attention is increasing over reported attacks on Christian communities in parts of Nigeria, an issue that has drawn comments from several international public figures.
