Atalanta have officially parted ways with head coach Ivan Jurić after just 11 matches of the 2025-26 Serie A season. The club confirmed the dismissal on Monday, also relieving his closest staff members of their duties.
Jurić’s tenure, which began over the summer as the successor to long-serving manager Gian Piero Gasperini, saw the team struggle in Serie A, leaving Atalanta in 13th place with only two wins from 11 matches.
The decision comes after the club’s poor performances, including a 3-0 home defeat to newly-promoted Sassuolo on Sunday.
Reports suggest former Monza and Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino is the frontrunner to take over as Atalanta’s head coach.
Bonus context: The dismissal also comes shortly after a touchline clash with Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman during a Champions League match against Olympique Marseille on 6 November 2025. Lookman was substituted in the 75th minute and appeared to make a comment as he walked off, prompting Jurić to grab his arm. A staff member intervened to separate them.
