Qatar Stars League side, Al Ahli SC, have confirmed the signing of former Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong.
The Doha-based club announced that the experienced centre-back joined from Saudi Arabian outfit, Al Kholood, on a deal that will run until June 2028.
Troost-Ekong has been handed the No. 5 jersey and is expected to bolster Al Ahli’s defence as the club intensifies efforts to finish the season strongly.
Confirming the move, the 32-year-old defender expressed his delight on social media, describing the transfer as the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
“Next Chapter! Happy to be here part of the @ahliqat family!” he wrote.
Troost-Ekong featured prominently for Al Kholood, making 49 appearances and scoring twice during his time at the Saudi club.
Al Ahli officials view his signing as a significant addition to the squad, citing his experience, leadership qualities and international pedigree as key assets ahead of the remainder of the campaign.
